My name is Troy McCarty. I'm a recent graduate from the Pennsylvania State University, Altoona College. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. While attending I studied audio and video production, website creation and multimedia production, Journalism, News writing; newspaper, radio and online mediums, and Public Relations. I'm proficient with Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Final Cut Pro, Adobe software, Microsoft apps and website creation and design.
Prior to my time in college I served in the United States Marine Corps from 2015-2019 as a Motor Transport Operator and Mechanic at 3rd Battalion 6th Marines 2nd Marine Division in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Through my military career I was promoted from E-1, Private to E-5, Sergeant. During my time in the service I deployed in 2017 with the 24th MEU to the Middle East. While abroad, I was assigned duties in Africa, Spain, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates where I was in charge of 15+ Marines guiding them in Physical fitness, training, classes, courses, daily operation, maintaining equipment, logging, tracking inventory and operated on a timely schedule with no negative remarks. While abroad I experienced many diverse cultures, people and situations. I gained valuable qualities in the Marine Corps such as leadership, discipline, teamwork, adaptability, problem-solving and a strong work ethic.
